1. Day | Muscat – The Capital of the Sultanate
Our favourite choice for your start in Muscat is The Chedi Hotel. With its boutique style and exceedingly elegant arabesque elements, it is without a doubt one of the most beautiful hotels in the Orient.
You will leave the quotidian far behind thanks to the exquisite cuisine, the prize-winning spa area and the longest infinity pool in the Arab world.
In the afternoon our Omani guide will show you around the capital. In addition to the Grand Mosque the fish market the traditional souq and the old city centre he will also offer a look behind the scenes of the Omani culture and way of life.
2. Day | Wahiba Sands Desert – Sur & Wadis on the Road to the desert
Before you reach the traditional fishing village of Sur it’s worthwhile to make a short stop in the oases of Wadi Tiwi and Wadi Shab for a hike in the palm-ringed canyons.
Via Sur where the traditional Omani dhow boats are still constructed to this day the journey leads to the Wahiba Sands – your adventure amidst the sand dunes.
Next come a camel ride into the sunset and a private luxury tent camp constructed just for you where a personal chef attends to your culinary wishes.
The campfire enveloped in silence beneath twinkling stars makes for an unforgettable experience.

The mountain region at an elevation of nearly 3,000 m offers ideal conditions for hiking mountain biking or a carefree day full of breathtaking views. The region gained the name Jebel Akhdar which means “green mountain” because it counts among the most fertile in the country.
