Starting with an exhilarating drive to Jabal Akhdar, the day unfolds with an adventurous Via Ferrata experience. Wadi Hawer Oasis & Canvas Club North Camp
Following the days in the Jabal Akhdar Mountains, your expedition transitions from the mountainous terrain to the Sharqiyah Desert. This leg of the journey signifies the start of navigating the "little sister" of the Rub al Khali, the largest sand desert, starting from the fourth day onwards.
Before beginning the desert crossing, a detour leads you to the enchanting Wadi Hawer oasis. Following the exploration of Wadi Hawer, your journey proceeds to the exclusive Canvas Club North Camp nestled in the heart of the Sharqiyah Desert dunes.
Prior to starting the desert crossing on the following day, an essential training session awaits. You will be provided with guidance and advice on driving on sand to ensure a safe navigation through the dunes during the forthcoming desert exploration.
Crossing the Rub Al Khali Desert
After breakfast, the most thrilling phase of your expedition begins—the four-day traverse of the Rub al Khali, recognized as the world's largest sand desert. The adventure begins with a drive to Fahud, this is where the vehicles are refueled, and all necessary preparations are undertaken for the impending desert crossing. This day signifies the initiation of your captivating odyssey through the Rub al Khali.
Your camps through the four-day desert crossing are all setup in remote, scenic locations far from civilization and light pollution. Nights in the Rub al Khali offer an intense stargazing experience, defined by the untouched nature of the desert.
Canvas Club South Camp
On the eighth day of your expedition, you'll arrive at Canvas Club South Camp in the evening, situated near one of the highest dunes in the entire region. This unique camp provides awe-inspiring views, serving as the perfect conclusion to your desert adventure.
Arriving in Salalah
After the immersive desert expedition, you now return to the lush southern region of Salalah to conclude your journey in a picturesque environment.
